Open letter to President Bush and the D.O.J.
Gentlemen,
I worked hard to get people to vote for the Republican ticket in the last two elections. I continue to work, defending most of your agenda.
This thing with the internet pornography and the new rules, however, is indefensible. It reeks of 'respecting an establishment of religion', which is an obvious violation of the 1st Amendment.
What business does the gov't have deciding what I, or any other 'free' American can look at within the confines of my own home? I don't buy the 'for the children' thing while abortion is not only legal, but subsidized by taxpayer dollars.
Further, suppose the Libs get back into power...they would then have a precedent that could enable them to decide that certain types of political speech are obscene.
I respectfully suggest that you turn your efforts to preserving our Constitution instead of dismantling the Bill Of Rights.
