Be aware that it can affect the ring muscles in the intestines, slowing or stopping peristalsis, which is the sequence of contractions of the ring muscles that moves things through your gastrointestinal passage.
This can cause extreme constipation. Extreme constipation can cause a phenomenon known as autointoxication. The effects of this can be very serious, even including blood pressure spikes.
It is recommended that you do not take ibuprofen long-term or in large doses unless monitored by a physician.
