I'm currently a Republican. That's because Republicans are Conservative. That is to say that they believe in more individual freedom and less government interference. If I thought they had a chance of winning elections, I'd probably be a Libertarian; because they represent more individual freedom than any other political party I've seen.
That said, lets get down to issues...
The Federal government has ceased being the guarantor of our rights, and has become the grantor of those rights. Why? I refer you to Nikita Khrushchev's shoe-pounding statement, "We will bury you" Look it up. Nowhere did he say that it would be tomorrow. Remember where Bill Clinton spent part of his draft-dodging time? That's right...the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, commonly known back then as Soviet Russia
Examine the current Liberal philosophy carefully. Now examine Socialist doctrine. Now, examine Communism as represented by the Marxist doctrine. They all look pretty much the same, don't they. That is because Communism evolves from Socialism which evolves from Liberalism. In other words, the Democratic Liberals who have infiltrated almost every level of our government are working towards the overthrow of our government in favor of a Communistic system under which individual rights and freedoms will be strictly controlled by them. There will no longer be any private ownership of anything. The government will own and control you from cradle to grave; and they will also decide when you will go to your grave.
As support for that last statement, I will simply point out the death rate among older people in Socialist/Communist countries. It is very difficult to get life-extending medical treatments in those countries.
I am sure that you have heard much on TV about
how President Bush is raiding the 'Social Security Trust Fund'; but here is the
truth...
THERE IS NO SOCIAL SECURITY TRUST FUND Clinton rolled it into the general
fund early on in his first term
A few facts about Social Security...
Social Security was a part of FDR's 'New Deal'. It was never meant to be
collected. That's why the age of eligibility was set at 65, in a time when few
people lived that long. For those who DID live that long, they were supposed to
remain with their family, and the few measly dollars they got from SS was
supposed to just help defray the expenses. Look at what the death benefits are.
Can you bury someone for that amount? I don't THINK so
Campaign Finance Reform...Sounds really great, doesn't it? Look at it from another direction. What these guys are saying is, "We can't be trusted; but we want to remain in power, so let's play a game of Let's Pretend. We'll pass this law and force the President to sign it. Now, it will appear to put an end to that 'evil soft money'; but in reality, all it will do is to hide it. What it WILL accomplish is to restrict the ability of any candidate to run against us. That will mean that we will remain in power until we die or resign. By the way, we intend to exempt our favorite institutions (like unions) from this law."
Question: Why should we allow people who admit they can't be trusted to hold public office? Why not toss them out at the next opportunity?
I'm not real strong on religion; but I AM strong on ETHICS; and I believe that these people are breaking their Oath of Office by trying to bypass the 1st Amendment to our Constitution. I believe that they should now resign or be impeached. Failing that, I believe that we should VOTE them out of office at the next opportunity.
This section is gonna tick a bunch of people off.
Race relations...Why is it a crime for a Caucasian to even APPEAR to
discriminate against a Black person; but not the other way around? Of course,
the same question applies to Hispanics or women. In my opinion, discrimination
is wrong in any direction.
Blacks and Hispanics complain unceasingly about
our system of justice. The favorite complaint concerns how many of them are in
prison and/or on Death Row. I have to conclude that the vast majority of the
complainers are too stupid or uneducated to see the truth for themselves; and
they are being led by smarter people who are so dang crooked they will never
tell the truth. Here is the truth...let it set you free Those prisoners broke
the law. As it is, there are many more who get away with it because they are
'poor members of a minority' than ever go to prison.
Here's another truth...'400 years of slavery' is a pure-d lie This country
outlawed slavery when this country was less than 100 years old If slavery still
existed here, 400 years would STILL be a lie; because this country is only a
little over 200 years old In fact, slavery still exists in the very same
country and among the very same people who sold your ancestors into slavery back
then. Want to do something? Go to Sudan and start there
Women have always gotten an easy ride in the justice system. Look at how many have been executed for murder. Compare that to men. Women commit murders; but they rarely pay for it.
I was just accused of propagandizing on a webmaster board by a Liberal. This is a guy who refuses to see the propaganda that his own party sponsors. The movies and TV shows promoting class envy, racial hatred, and 'the battle of the sexes' are all sponsored by the Liberal establishment. Unfortunately, they work. Vast numbers of people hate people who have more money simply because they believe that making or having more money is somehow wrong. Many people hate Black people because they think they're supposed to. Divorce is rampant in this country because so many women believe that men are, at best, incompetent boobs.
I don't know if I can counter all of this (or any
of it); but I intend to try. Do this:
Watch for the propaganda on your screen.
Ask yourself why you hate Bill Gates. What did he do to you? Or is it something
you've heard over and over on TV?
What is REALLY different about a Black person or a Hispanic person or an Asian
person besides a few physical characteristics?
If you're a man, look at how men are being portrayed on TV. If you're a woman,
look at your husband or boyfriend...is he REALLY such a total incompetent?
Let's talk about freedom as it was, as it is, and what it should be. "Your rights end at the tip of your nose.". So wrote Ayn Rand in "Capitalism, The Unknown Ideal". Think carefully about that statement and its' meaning. Now, look at your own feelings and actions. Do you REALLY think you have the right to reach into my pocket and take the money that I labored for so that you can feel good about helping some klutz who prefers drugs or alcohol to the kind of life that you prefer he/she leads? What do you call a person who takes money from another at gunpoint?
Seems like Senators Daschle and Hollingsworth are wanting to know when this war will be over...IDIOTS We didn't start this fight. We formalized it. We weren't dragged into it by our association with Israel. I'm trying to say that this war was forced on the Christian/Jewish/etc world by the Muslim world.
Want to know when it will end? You might think you do; but are you sure? The end of this war cannot be predicted in terms of weeks, months or years. It will only end when one side or the other NO LONGER EXISTS That is not the choice of the Christian/Jewish/etc side (our side); but of the Muslim side. Our side has no choice except to fight or die. Don't be fooled by rhetoric. Do some research, and look at what they have done so far. THEY WILL NOT STOP UNTIL ALL UNBELIEVERS ARE DEAD This is a war between good and evil. We believe we are good, they believe they are good. The constant fighting that has gone on in The Middle East has never been about anything else. It is a war that began in the days of Abraham. It is not about oil. It is not about money. It is about existence. The Muslim world believes that NO religion except theirs has a right to exist.
How can we end it? Only by beating them so badly that they come to believe that their God was wrong. Simply put, we must conquer them and convert them. I know that such words sound harsh. Still, those are the facts. We cannot simply stop bombing Afghanistan and say 'Game Over'. The enemy is unlike any enemy we have ever faced before. They believe that they MUST KILL all infidels (us). Stop this war and eventually, we shall all die
The 1st Amendment
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of
the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances.
I ask you: Is that simple or not? What do politicians NOT understand about that?
Let's examine it closely.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof". Remember the history of this country.
After fleeing to this new world to escape the oppression of a state-sponsored
church (The Church of England), the founders wanted to be sure that another
state-sponsored church could never happen. Simply saying that no church could
receive preference would have left a 'back door' whereby all churches but one
could have been banned, giving the same effect.
"or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press" This was intended to
protect the rights of people to criticize their leaders and to call them to
account, whether vocally or in print.
"or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances" This protects the rights of people like
the civil rights marchers and others as long as they do not attempt any sort
of violence.
The 2nd Amendment
Amendment II
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Now here is one that they understand all too well That is why they have been trying for so long to do away with it.
Most politicians will point to the Armed Services and say that this is the Militia, and that it makes this Amendment obsolete. Don't believe it This Amendment is there so that the people will have at least some protection from that well-regulated Militia in the event that some megalomaniac (read: someone like Tom Daschle) attempts to install a new and tyrannical government with the backing of the Militia. BTW, did you know that certain elements were advising Clinton to refuse to give up the presidency?
